Hans Arnold Biography

Born in Germany, Hans has lived most of his life in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada where his interest in photography began in his teens. It began with black and white film, experimenting with various cameras, photographing people, commercial and industrial assignments, weddings and finally immerging into what has become his passion. Driven by a desire to create his own personal style he has evolved into becoming an ardent landscape photographer.

As an artist, Hans inspires viewers through his workshops, presentations, magazine contributions, calendars and photographic art displays. His primary photographic approach is to capture images in their natural form in all the diverse environment and weather conditions that nature has to offer. His work shows the viewer that real life landscapes can be both beautiful in detail as well as in panoramic simplicity. He also approaches photography through various styles that allows him to become impressionistic in the way he sees the landscape. images become artistic, surreal and interact with many layers of light and shapes that creates a beauty all its own.

Hans believes that photography is a higher form of artistic expression that places this medium within the same categories as painting, music or poetry. This intuitive vision brings a new perspective to the way he wants us to look at the natural world. The images he has created are gathered in a comprehensive stock image file system that is available for anyone seeking a vast variety of seasonal photos.

He has recently published his first book “Wish you were here, Photographic Images of the Canadian Landscape”. His fine art photographic prints and stock images are sold internationally.
